What are Pregnazon tablets for?

Planning a pregnancy, being pregnant or breast feeding are the most demanding times nutritionally on a woman. Pregnazon tablets are specially formulated and carefully balanced to provide the recommended daily intake of Folic Acid (400?g) along with 22 other beneficial nutrients which offer optimum nutritional

support for all pregnancy stages and early motherhood. Pregnazon is an ideal supplement from pre-conception, through pregnancy and breastfeeding.

By the time a woman has missed her first period, she is already two weeks pregnant, therefore it is best to prepare for a pregnancy even before conception. A woman's body goes through many changes over the nine

months of pregnancy, with the developing baby making increasing demands. Choosing a well-balanced and varied diet that includes fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, pulses and fish is advisable for a healthy pregnancy. Furthermore it is best to avoid refined sugars, white flour, fried and processed foods, as well as chemical additives. Being as fit and healthy as possible maximises the chances of a smooth pregnancy and a healthy baby.

Folic acid is essential for every process in the body that requires cell division and is therefore critical to DNA and RNA formation as it ensures that cells duplicate normally. It is especially important in healthy foetal development and helps produce key chemicals for the brain and nervous system. Adequate intake at conception and during the first months of pregnancy is believed to greatly reduce the risk of birth defects. Vitamin B12 is another vitamin that is essential for cell replication and particularly important for red-blood cell production. Vitamin B6 is probably a nutrient that is involved in more bodily functions than any other vitamin. It is mainly involved in the formation of red blood cells, helping cells to make proteins, manufacturing brain chemicals and releasing stored forms of energy. Pregnant women produce extra blood to supply the foetus and therefore adequate Iron intake is crucial. Zinc ensures healthy cell growth and development of the baby. Finally, Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium and Copper assist in the formation of strong bones and teeth. Vitamin C is essential for tissue growth and repair, whereas Vitamin E is important in maintaining membrane integrity of all cells in the body. B vitamins promote the release of energy from food and ensure the healthy development of the nervous system.

When should I take Pregnazon tablets?

Pregnazon tablets should be taken as a pre- and post-natal vitamin and mineral supplement. It is ideal from pre-conception up until the end of your breast-feeding period. Start taking Pregnazon tablets even before conception (if possible), as it is high in Folic Acid, Iron, Vitamin B12 and Zinc, which may help with complications due to vitamin and mineral deficiencies and ensures proper neural tube development and cell division. Continue throughout the gestation and the breast-feeding period to help supply the extra nutrients needed for the mother and the growing baby.

Do not exceed the recommended intake. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place. Women who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy should consult their doctor before taking vitamin or mineral supplements. Check with your doctor if you are taking any other medication before consuming this product. Check seal is intact before use.
